Gratitude Over Attitude

Over the years I’ve learned that perfection is often misused. It is not something we should pursue because it cannot be contained. I believe perfection is a motivational tool, that’s

necessary when we strive to do or be our best. While we may never be perfect, we can be the best version of ourselves. More often than not, we all miss the mark or drop the ball from time to time. We swing and miss or don’t swing and still miss opportunities to share our greatness; and that’s okay. What’s not okay is when we solely focus on all the times we fail and then use it as a reason not to try again.
This holiday season, make a conscious effort to acknowledge the things you do well. Learn to celebrate your wins. Every day we wake up is another day of opportunity; another day to make better choices. It’s true, you never get a second chance to make a first impression; but that doesn't mean second chances don’t exist. Obviously, some life scenarios do not offer nor create a space for them, and we’re all aware of that. My point is, stop taking second chances for granted.
What balls have you caught lately? What did you accomplish today or before reading this post? Give thanks. Think about the last time you kept your word or told the truth. Do you remember how it made you feel? Give thanks. You can still read and comprehend. Give thanks.
