We are all familiar with this word. It simply means to complete; to bring to an end.

How many times do we start things and never finish? Why? I’ll tell you why. For many of us, the reason behind completing that task, project, etc. is too small. It’s not important enough to make or remain on our “list of priorities”; which makes it easy to become distracted or shift our focus to something else. In fact, we tend to replace that "thing" with an excuse, then we move on. Sure, we'll make plans to revisit it later; but let's be honest, we usually don't. If we did, this post would be unrelatable.

In the aftermath of the pandemic, I've noticed the buzz words, "fear and anxiety", have become increasingly popular. Can we stop? Seriously, can we stop hiding behind something that does not apply to everyone? It’s not fair to those who have real mental health concerns and/or challenges. Stop trying to blend in and go unnoticed when you were created to be bold and different. Likewise, to our Christian community, can we stop it with the "I'm waiting on God?" It’s not fair to you, either.

Pause for a moment and think about where you spend most of your time and energy, outside of family and work. Do you spend it on entertainment or social media? How much time is wasted being busy, yet unproductive? Remember, small wins are still wins; but you’ll never win if you never finish. Let’s agree to stay committed. Stop putting it off. No more excuses. Figure it out. Tomorrow is here. It’s our turn to win.

So, will I see you at the finish line?
