It’s true. Some things are worth fighting for; and although our lists may differ, health and wellness should be on everyone’s list. Apart from genetic disorders, it’s critical that we become more intentional with our health awareness and healthy habits.

You may or may not know chronic diseases (heart disease, strokes, and diabetes) are among the most common health problems in our society. Did you know it’s the leading cause of death and/or disability, as well? Chronic diseases are linked to poor diets and lifestyle choices. Like mental clutter, they can and will disrupt our quality of life and increase the cost of health care.
The good news is some chronic diseases are often preventable! That’s right. You can choose to sit in the driver's seat and navigate your way to a healthier life. It’s time. No more excuses. Remember, baby steps. Commit to small changes. Start with eating a fruit and vegetable each day. Decrease sugary snacks, foods, and drinks. You know your weaknesses. Put forth more effort into your strengths. Drinking water may not be for everyone, and that’s okay. You’re not everyone; start drinking. Make a choice to exercise, walk, run, cycle, or go for a swim once or twice a week. Start small. Start and stop stopping. Ouch!! I felt that one. Laugh more. Complain less.
Here's the deal, many of us know what to do; but we don’t because it’s not important enough. After all, we’ve made it this far with our current choices, right? Not only do we owe it to ourselves to fight for our own health and wellness, in my opinion, it’s disrespectful not to. We’re constantly promoting selflove and self-investing. Give your future self a chance to live a healthy life and fight for it.

Thank you for the critical reminder. We make time and place priority on this things that are important to us so why wouldn’t our health be at the top of the list?
let’s do better not as a new year’s resolution but right now today. There’s so much to be here for.
