What time is it? We’re all too familiar with that question. As I thought about writing this

post, I looked in the mirror and had a heart-to-heart moment with myself. “It’s time to get my sh#@ together.” That’s right, sometimes I have to be frank with myself. Yes, I believe in self-love; but sometimes I get sick of me (my flesh to be exact).
It’s time to stop acting like we have a personal relationship with Time. For the record, Time does not know or care about us, our feelings, families, or circumstances. It does not slow down, stop, favor, nor discriminate. Time is punctual, consistent, and quiet. It has one job. Time minds its own business.
Time does not make offers or guarantees; yet we treat it like we have some sort of contract agreement. We abuse and mismanage it like we have ownership. We make promises; Time does not. Unlike us, time is not needy, selfish, or wasteful. Our only common denominator is the fact that we are both temporary. Time simply governs itself accordingly.
Now it’s your turn. Put your phone down, look in the mirror and ask yourself, “What time is it?”
